Project Overview

Suffescom was tasked with architecting a large-scale professional branding solution for a corporate client. The objective was to integrate the industry-leading Aragon AI API into a custom, enterprise portal to automate headshot generation for over 5,000 employees.

The Integration Challenge

While Aragon AI provides the core generative engine, the client requires an enterprise-grade wrapper that the standard consumer app does not offer. Our team engineered the bridge between Aragon AI's high-fidelity outputs and the client’s internal HR ecosystem.

The Role of Aragon AI API

We utilized Aragon's RESTful API to trigger personalized model training (DreamBooth fine-tuning) using the subject's source photos.

Implementation & Middleware

We built a custom orchestration layer to manage the data flow. This ensured that employees' sensitive biometric data never remained on public servers longer than necessary.

  • Asynchronous Processing

    Asynchronous Processing

    Since Aragon AI model training required 15–45 minutes, we implemented a secure webhook listener system to manage asynchronous processing, automate status updates, and ensure seamless delivery of generated professional headshots to users.

  • Image Validation Engine

    Image Validation Engine

    Before sending photos to Aragon AI, our system runs pre-flight validation with OpenCV to check lighting, face orientation, and resolution. This reduced failed generations by 18%, saving the client significant API credit costs.

Role of Aragon AI

Pre-Inference Pipeline

To prevent API credit waste and ensure high-fidelity outputs, we implemented a multi-stage computer vision gatekeeper.

  • Subject Verification

    Utilizing a Haar cascade classifier to ensure a single, clear subject. Files with multiple faces or no detectable subject are intercepted before being transmitted to the API.

  • Quality Metrics

    We apply the Laplacian variance to quantify image sharpness. Any source photo falling below the defined blur threshold is rejected to ensure high-fidelity fine-tuning.

  • Image Normalization

    Automated conversion to a standard RGB color space and uniform resolution. This optimizes the Aragon training weights (𝚫w) for the user's specific biometric features, minimizing AI artifacts and hallucinations.

Enterprise Features We Engineered

To make the Aragon AI engine business-ready, we built the following modules:

    Integrated SAML/Okta so employees could access the AI generator without creating new accounts.

    A dashboard allowing HR admins to send unique generation tokens to thousands of employees via a single .csv upload.

    We used the API to lock specific styles and backgrounds (e.g., executive grey), ensuring 100% visual consistency across the entire company directory.

Technical Depth & Infrastructure

  • API Rate Limiting

    Managed API rate limits by implementing a Redis-backed queue to stagger high-volume training requests.

  • Data Privacy

    Engineered an automated purge script that triggers a DELETE request to the Aragon API immediately after the assets are confirmed as downloaded.

  • Security

    Implemented AES-256 encryption for all images in transit between the client portal and the AI engine.

Employee photos were securely stored in an encrypted Amazon S3 bucket configured with a strict 24-hour lifecycle policy, ensuring temporary retention, automated cleanup, and compliance with enterprise-grade data privacy and security standards.

Once the final headshots were successfully transferred to the client’s internal HR platform, our middleware automatically issued a DELETE request through the Aragon API endpoint to permanently remove associated training models and data.
